YESTERDAY I WENT TO THE MUSEUM OF MODERN ART OF BAHIA TO PICK THESE CLAY WORKS, DONE DURING A SHORT PERIOD COURSE. I LIKED THE END RESULT, AND HOPE TO CONTINUE ON WORKING WITH THIS MATERIAL!
This is an interesting piece. I originally had made a full head, and it looked pretty good to me. When handing it to the ceramics teacher, the moment she put her hands on it, it literally tore apart. The poor head lost one of its ears, and then it was the neck, followed by the mouth – oh, it was horrible to watch someone destroy what you made with so much love. The teacher said that the piece was no good to go to the oven. Even though I felt extremely angry about it, I accepted her opinion because I’m just a beginner. She should know better. So, with the same clay, I ended up with this!
